The Alliance

ITBA-AIBT is the leading international alliance for the circular valorisation of materials and responsible production. We bring together industrial stakeholders who choose to produce better, consume better, and valorise rather than waste.

About us

ITBA-AIBT brings together industrial stakeholders committed to responsible production and consumption. Rooted in textile expertise, the Alliance supports industries across textiles, construction, automotive, aeronautics, and luxury living in the circular valorisation, recycling and reuse of materials, from design to second life.

As a solution provider and expert partner, the Alliance equips its members and all industrial actors with the tools, frameworks and certifications needed for informed, responsible and sustainable decision-making.

Its work is fully aligned with UN SDG 12 and rests on the three pillars of sustainable development: environmental, social and economic, reinforced by a strong governance commitment.

Message from our president

"Dear members and partners,

On behalf of the International Transition & Bioproduction Alliance, I address you today with a deep conviction in our collective mission. In a world where sustainability is no longer an option but a necessity, our commitment to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12 - "Responsible Consumption and Production" - guides every action we take.

As I recently emphasized, "We are here in the common interest of ensuring that we meet the UN commitments for a more sustainable future." This shared vision is at the very heart of our Alliance, which is resolutely committed to building a greener future for all the industries and related sectors.

Our mission is realized every day through tangible actions: we forge strategic connections between pioneering companies in the sector, develop revolutionary value chains, and strive to disseminate environmental best practices. Our commitment also extends to raising public awareness of environmentally friendly actions, because we firmly believe that every action counts.

Our industry is at a pivotal moment where innovation in biomaterials can revolutionize traditional production methods. The responsible use of resources and the transformation of our waste into raw materials are no longer mere concepts, but imperatives that we must make a reality.

Together, we can redefine the future of industries by creating an economic model that respects our planet while generating sustainable growth. Because that is our collective ambition: to reinvent industries for a more responsible and efficient planet.

Sincerely,"

Our mission

The International Transition & Bioproduction Alliance's mission is structured around 5 pillars that guide every initiative, programme and partnership we undertake:

1) Connection: Building strategic relationships between pioneering companies, researchers and institutions across the global value chain.

2) Innovation: Identifying, supporting and scaling innovative approaches to biomass sourcing, fibre recycling, and circular production.

3) Certification: Developing and administering rigorous, internationally recognised standards through the FiberForever™ framework.

4) Education: Delivering targeted training and knowledge-sharing programmes that equip professionals to implement sustainable practices at every stage of production.

5) Advocacy: Raising awareness among public and private stakeholders about the environmental and economic case for sustainable production.

Our vision

  • Responsibility : We believe every industry can produce better. Environmental, social and economic responsibility is not optional.

  • Circularity : Materials are never waste: they are resources waiting for their next life. We create the conditions for this transition.

  • Collective action : The challenges of industrial transition are solved together. The Alliance is a space for cooperation, not competition.

  • Excellence : Our tools, frameworks and certifications are built to last. We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask of our members.
